This Privacy Policy explains how Freedom Labs ("we", "us", "our") collects,
uses, and protects information when you use Scribe ("Service"). We take your
privacy seriously and collect only what is necessary to operate the Service.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Profile information: your name, professional niche, target audience, and bio
that you enter during onboarding — used to personalise AI-generated content.
- Voice profile and identity anchor: writing samples and style notes you
provide to train your personal content voice.
- Content drafts: text, topics, and tags you create, edit, or approve inside
the Service.
- X (Twitter) credentials: OAuth access tokens that authorise Scribe to post
on your behalf — stored encrypted at rest.
Information collected automatically:
- Activity logs: actions you take in the app (generate, approve, publish,
delete) with timestamps — used to power the analytics dashboard.
- AI usage logs: which AI provider answered each request, token counts, and
latency — used for internal cost tracking. No prompt text is stored in these
logs beyond a short call-site label.
- Engagement data: if you upload LinkedIn or X analytics exports, that data
is stored and used to improve your post-timing recommendations.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To generate, schedule, and publish content on your behalf
- To personalise AI suggestions to your voice, niche, and audience
- To recommend optimal posting times based on your historical engagement
- To display your own analytics and performance metrics back to you
- To send push notifications (via ntfy.sh) when content is ready to review
or when autopilot completes a run
- To operate, improve, and debug the Service
We do not use your content or data to train AI models,
serve advertisements, or sell to third parties.
3. Third-Party Services
Scribe integrates with the following third-party services:
- X (Twitter) API — to post approved threads on your behalf.
Subject to X's Privacy Policy.
- Anthropic / Groq / OpenRouter — to generate content drafts.
Prompts sent to these services include your topic, voice profile, and
identity anchor. Review each provider's data practices:

- Resend — to deliver newsletter emails. Subject to
Resend's Privacy Policy.
- ntfy.sh — to deliver push notifications. Subject to
ntfy's Privacy Policy.
Your ntfy topic ID is private and not shared.
- SearxNG — a self-hosted instance used for image search.
No data is sent to third-party search engines through this integration.
4. Data Storage and Security
All data is stored on infrastructure controlled by Freedom Labs. Content,
profile data, and credentials are stored in a local SQLite database on a
privately hosted server. X OAuth tokens are stored encrypted at rest.
We use HTTPS (via Cloudflare Tunnel) for all traffic between your browser
and the Service.
No data is stored in third-party cloud databases. Backups are encrypted and
retained for 30 days.
5. Data Retention
- Content drafts and published posts: retained indefinitely until you delete them.
- Activity logs: retained for 90 days, then automatically purged.
- AI call logs: retained for 30 days for cost attribution, then purged.
- Analytics data: retained for 12 months.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Export your content at any time via the Export feature
- Delete any or all of your data by deleting content items or contacting us
- Revoke X API access at any time from X's connected apps settings
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under 16. We do not knowingly
collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe we have
inadvertently collected such data, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be
reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service
after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
